An Audience with Sir Trevor Brooking and Pat Jennings

goalWe are delighted to announce we are hosting an Audience with Sir Trevor Brooking, Pat Jennings OBE and Tony Cottee

The evening will start with a TV chat show style Q&A, with Sir Trevor and Pat being interviewed by Tony Cottee with plenty of time for you to ask questions and get opinions from the experts on perhaps the 2018 World Cup, current Premiership teams and more!

Then you will have a chance to get your dancing shoes on and enjoy an evening of music and fun with your friends, colleagues and perhaps our VIP guests until 1am.

Charity Auction and Raffle

There will be both a Silent and Live Charity Auction and raffle during the evening helping to raise funds in support of Dunmow Rhodes Youth FC which provides opportunities for both girls and boys from the age of 5 to 17 years.  Plenty of memoribilia, so whether you are a sports fan or fancy something a little different, this is your chance to bid on some unique lots up for grabs!  

Just don't forget your wallet on the night!

Sir Trevor Brooking 1018x755Sir Trevor David Brooking, CBE is a former England international footballer, manager, pundit and football administrator; he now works as director of football development in England.

He played most of his career for West Ham United making 647 appearances for the club. He won the 1975 FA Cup and the 1980 FA Cup in which he scored the only goal. He was also the club's player of the season on four occasions and caretaker manager on two occasions in 2003. Brooking played 47 times for England, scoring five times. He was appointed a Member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE) in 1981, elevated to Commander of same order (CBE) in 1999, and knighted in 2004. In 2009 a stand at Upton Park was named after Brooking. Since retiring from playing, he has taken up a number of positions in broadcasting as an on-air analyst and in football and sports administration.

 

Pat JenningsPat Jennings OBE is a Northern Irish former football player. He played 119 games for Northern Ireland as a goalkeeper, a figure which at the time was a world record and is still a Northern Ireland record, in an international career which lasted for over 22 years. During his career Jennings played for Newry Town, Watford, and in the top division with Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal, winning the FA Cup with both of the north London rivals. In total, Jennings made over 1,000 top level appearances, and despite being a goalkeeper he scored in the 1967 FA Charity Shield.

Tony Cottee  former professional footballer and manager who now works as a television football pundit on Sky Sports.

As a player, he was a striker from 1982 until 2001, notably playing in the top flight of English football for West Ham United, Everton and Leicester City. He was capped seven times by England, and played in the Football League for Birmingham City, Norwich City and Millwall. He also had a spell in Malaysia with Selangor and spent a season as player-manager of Barnet.

He played in the 1989 FA Cup Final defeat to Liverpool, and won the League Cup with Leicester City in 2000. His final career tally was 579 league games and 226 goals (99 of which for Everton). In all competitions, he managed 712 games and 293 goals. He exceeded his ambition to score 200 league goals in his career, but fell just short of his target of 300 goals in all competitions. Still, he was one of the most prolific goalscorers that English football saw during the 1980s and 1990s.
